Finally....warm weather!!!

Finally...the weather has turned (well for now) and we can actually go outside without seeing our breath! We have had a great couple of weekends...We spent Memorial Day weekend up at the river getting everything ready for the year. Kyle, Neil and Chris built a deck (while Kole watched and directed) and the girls cleaned up the yard. It was a fun, but busy weekend! It was just nice to be outside....

We spent the next weekend up at my dads place at Hayden Lake. It was beautiful out and in the 80's, which seems so hot......we aren't quite acclimated to sun and warm weather! The water was still pretty cold, but we still enjoyed the dock, boat and water toys. Kole was so excited to fish...really just to play with the "squirmy wormies". I think he might be slightly obsessed with worms! Kennedy enjoyed a boat ride (fell asleep) and was very content on the dock in her playpen.....ahh the sun and the lake...what could be better!
Out for a boat ride.... (FYI we forgot Kole's life jacket at home so he is wearing an infant one!!)

Trike-a-thon for St. Jude's

Kole's preschool had a trike-a-thon for all the pre-schoolers to help support St. Jude's Children Hospital. They set up a course in the parking lot and all the kids got to decorate their own bikes. The rest of the school came out to cheer the kids on...it was really cute. Kole was very excited and even got a new Spiderman helmet for the race.

Oh' I am so tired......

This is the cutest picture...we brought her in from the car and set her on the floor (awake) and then we came back in and she was fast asleep in the middle of the floor!

The Jr. Lilac Parade

Every year we walk the Jr. Lilac Parade with the Sacajawea dance team and band. It is a different theme every year, and this year was a circus theme. So Kole dressed up as an elephant! Talia was a clown (like the dance team), Tanner was a lion and Parker was a tiger. It was a beautiful day (finally) and the kids had a great time.

"Splish Splash I was taking a bath"

Kole's preschool class put on a Mother's Day Program for all their moms...it was so cute! They started out singing "Splish Splash I was taking a bath". They even had a little dance. After singing us a few songs they made and served us lunch, which was great. They also made these really cute place mats of laminated flowers (picked by the kids) and a special poem that was created by the kids. Here are a few words from Kole's:

When I am at preschool, my mom works at at work.
She works on paper, goes to meetings, and draws pictures of ducks and phones.
My mom is ten years old (Thank you Kole)
My mom likes to play zebra toys and eat Top Ramen with my dad.
I love my mom because she gives me all the things I want!

The boy with no fear.....

Kole is now in swimming class at the YMCA. This is his first time swimming on his own (without a parent) so I was little nervous...As usual Kole is the crazy dare devil that can seem to stay still! He is not afraid of the water at all (which is good and bad) and flops around dunking his head. Kole's friend Jaden from preschool is also in the class so that was nice. He is having a great time and absolutely loves swimming, especially the slide which they get to use after class.

The Circus....

So we decided to take the kids (Kole, Lillie & Lexie) to the circus that was set up outside the Spokane Valley Mall. We went with our friends Cajun and Angie and their boys Tanner and Parker. The kids had a great time other than it was the LONGEST circus that I have ever been too! It started at 3:30 and we got out of there at 6:00!!! Had we have know we would have slipped out at intermission.......

Crazy circus person flying through the air!

Lexie

Here is Lillie, Lexie and Kole waiting to ride the elephant.....after missing the first round of rides they insisted on riding them at intermission. So they waited in line, got all the way up to the elephants........and then decided they didn't want to ride the elephants!! The other funny thing is that I made the mistake of telling Kole that some circus's have tigers. So the entire time he kept asking me when the tigers were going to come out! He was very sad (throwing a slight fit) that there were no tigers.....who doesn't have tigers?
